Accel problems

Question for the experts:

My car idle is fine. Starts perfect when cold. Has a hot start problem for now 2 years (unsolved). Since a couple weeks it has a very annoying acceleration problem: as long as I accelerate moderately it's OK but if I give sudden acceleration it seems the engine is going to dye, sort of runs on 3 cylinders (more like 2 cylinders), I get absolutely no power. Finally some power comes in with a big delay but still far from normal.
I just got new coil, new wires, new DME relay, new gas pump, new gas filter, new spark plugs. The oil pressure and water temperature are good.
Any ideas?

Jean

What is your fuel pressure at the fuel rail when you give it some gas, it sounds almost like your FPR or damper is bad.

Possibly debris build-up on the speed and reference sensors - remove, clean, reinstall (I read where the magnets can pick up debris which will affect their ability to correctly read the flywheel). Good luck reaching them.

What model and year?

Car is 944 1986 (automatic)
FPR is new but not the damper. Do you know if a bad damper can cause such problem?
