VW to P, what works?

Does anyone know, some/all of the parts that i could get for my 85 944 n/a from VW that will work on my P? for example... CV boots, gaskets, relays... (i heard something about CV boots, but i just picked gaskets and relays to throw in there...)

i think it would be cool if we collaborated a huge list of VW parts that work on 944's

The turn signal and windshield levers on the steering column both have VW and audi symbols on them.

from which VW car, do the CV boots work on my car?

ok, well, i'm hearing some things they have in common, but for which VW car do these parts go to? which year?

Early 944 control arms are the same as A1 VW such as rabbit and golf.

Do some research. Trying to answer this kind of question via bulletin board is darn near impossible. For example. A-arms for early 944s are the same as VW, but do not have the weldment for the sway bar. The rear half axles are the same as the VW "Thing". Lots of parts were taken from various "bins" in an effort to keep down the cost and not reinvent the wheel.

Most, but not all, of the parts that start "477 xxx xxx", "016 xxx xxx x" and "N xxx xxx x" are straight from VW or Audi.
Some of the parts have a VW, Audi and Porsche part number. Just to confuse matters, 928 auto trans parts use Mercedes part numbers and the Boxster trans and clutch linkage uses Audi numbers. Oh yeah, a lot of the Bosch stuff has several numbers, depending on which manufacturer is using the part.
