Porsche Crest Opinions?

I just got some BBS wheels for the '44. When I asked some of you all about them people didn't really seem to like them. These are a couple pics I took today...could have been better. I think they look great, alot better than my old cookies. I need to clean them up, pretty dirty in the pics...

I love those rims HOWEVER, it just doesnt look right on the '44. It looks awesome on older BMW's. Also with that color, I would remove that gold paint and have it painted bright silver to match the car.. Then it wouldn't look too bad.

I like fuchs too, but I think I like the BBS wheels as much. BBS is the name of the company that makes them, but it also stands for "bulletin Board System". What Pelican is...

Turbo twists would look sooo nice on your 944. They're probably quite a bit more expensive than the BBS though.

IMHO: I think they look like they belong on a primer-grey 1978 cadillac with a purple crown air freshener on the back window ledge and curb feelers all the way around

Paint the center black. Then they'll look good. Gold is just ugly.

Keep them as they are. Looks great. Fix the dent in the fender.

Yeah, I noticed that a while ago. It's not really a dent as that area has sort of moved in some, it's usually not that noticeable. I'm missing like a mounting piece that goes behind that fender to push it out.
I was debating on painting them a different color, but am keeping the gold for now, I love how much better these wheels fill out the wheel wells.

I think they would look awesome if painted black in the center rather than gold. I like the deep dish look. Also, I can't tell from the pics, but the lips needed to be polished when they were on carl's car, they looked a bit corroded back when I saw them. Polished silver lip with black centers....that would look killer. The black on the rims would nicely complement the 944's black bumper pads/spoiler and match your mirrors. Great looking paint job, by the way.

I like them, they are the correct time frame for our vintage cars.
IMHO the modern turbo twists look silly on the 944, but whatever floats your boat.

Thanks guys. Yes, I DO like them. I used some metal polish on them, they look even better. Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with Nabeel. Gold fuchs look really good, Macfreak put them on his new car, I'll try to get some pics early next week.

From the company website:

1970
Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand established a small manufacturing plant for plastic body parts in Schiltach. The initials of both founders and the city are the basis of the name "BBS".
