Power Lock Problem
I'm not really good with electrical stuff so maybe you guys can help. When trying to unlock my doors, with power locks, when I turn the key,the locks unlock and lock very quickly, over and over as long as you turn the key. What should I look into? Anyone else had this problem? It does this on both doors.Interestingly, they lock fine. This only happens when trying to unlock.
Thanks in advance.... |

Probably bad microswitches
Located in the lock assy. You'll have to "go in" with a meter and trace wires I'm afraid AFJuvat |
It could be a mechanical rather than an electrical problem. Sometimes the actuator rods need adjusting at one or both doors. Pull the door panel & you will be able to see how the rod from the lock knob is secured to the actuator. If this adjustment is off or the rod is loose, the actuator will either not switch on or will cycle on/off. Adjust the connection, cycle the locks until they work properly and tighten with some extra torque.
