Cool SoCal 944 spotting!

Yesterday, Saturday afternoon, I spotted 2 944's.

1) On the side of the southbound 405 freeway in Sepulveda pass, a gold colored 944 with a tow truck alongside. Didn't stop because it looked like it was being handled.

2) On Highland Ave in El Segundo right off of the end of the LAX runways, a northbound 944 painted white with racing numbers. Nice smile, but no wave back.

Just wondering if either were PelicanHeads......

I was in the 911, so I might not have stood out in either case.

i thought you spotted socal himself, an endangered species.

yours is probably the only 911 in the that area and easy to see, right.

I forget sometimes that I am in the 911, and wave or flash the 944 guys, haha. I usually get this surprised look of "A 911 guy waved at a 944 guy."

Having both in the garage makes that transition easy. I rarely get a 911 wave when I am in the 944.

I've spotted him a few times. Mostly with ATF and gear oil.

OK, advance notice!

Monday morning early, am Redondo Beach to Van Nuys in the 911, then VNY-SJC twice in the G4, then VNY to Las Vegas in the 911. Back Tuesday afternoon to Redondo. Guards Red with Nevada plates, I'm waving at all 944's.

I was in newport beach on saturday. Along with about 50 members of the San Diego region club. There were a ton of 944's. We were having a tech session at Road & Track. I even got my car weighed. 2998lbs with driver and 1/2 tank of gas.

Must have been the set of long horns mounted over the radiator.
