Question instrument cluster gremlins

i traded out the speedo yesterday, had a bad odo and both worked when driven.

i checked the lights last nite, park and full on(key on, headlights up/on) and only the fuel gage, oil pressure, clock, rear defroster button, fog light button come on.
turn signals, hi/lo beam, emergency flashers work.

this is on the fuse for the license plate lite and it works.

i was also dinking/douching with the turn signal/wiper switch as i've had an intermittent problem of the wipers coming on when they want to.

i see something close in haynes schematics about the turn signal ground but not sure if it's tied into the cluster.

any ideas?

Use the schematics in the FWSM.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

did you remember to put the little lights back in place on the back of the speedometer, etc.? if i am not mistaken, this is the same setup as the 83, if your signature line is correct and you are driving an 84.

also, the light bulbs could have come unseated/damaged by all the commotion getting the speedometer out... i know from experience: i've had my speedometer out three or four times.

Not like x-mass lights in series but parallel.
