ebay auction

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6434&item=2439018102

I thought you guys might want to check out the first humerous 944 listing other than that kid who thought his n/a 944 would smoke a turbo.

probably best if Jeb didn't know, maybe someone from the group could go by and check it out if they lived nearby? maybe even confirm her real hair color if you're lucky?

I think the deposit price gives away the reserve on it, $15,000..

Well, nothing is wrong with it - I was just messing with you - but since you asked, I did some research for you:
From the logo page:

Note: The standards and graphics on these pages are for print publication not for World Wide Web publication. For web graphics, please go to the UConnWeb standards and graphics pages.
DO NOT COPY JPG OR GIF FILES USED AS ARTWORK ON THESE PAGES

and if you follow the embedded link you get:

The official University of Connecticut seal is the oak leaf symbol encircled by University of Connecticut, 1881. The seal is the formal identifier for the University. It may be used by any school or college, regional campus, entity or organization that is part of the University community. The use of a seal should be limited. In general, the use of University signatures (see logos page) is preferred. Do not use the seal in commercial applications without written permission (contact University Communications at 860-486-3530). The signatures reproduce more cleanly in smaller sizes than the seal

That auction has got to be a joke. Who is the dumb ass that actually bid on the car?

Germans are definitely into that. In Germany there are 'farms' where businessmen, politicians and the usual suspects go to relax. They strip off buck naked and are fitted up with leather bridles, saddles etc and women dominatrix types literally ride around on them. They even make the fat buggers pull little carts like My Little Pony. They also have these weird buttplug things with 'tails' they can wear. I'm telling yer chap - don't go to Europe they're all weird-o. Especially the French.

I'm currently a grad student at UConn - I really don't care - really!
I just like to pick on it. I have no good explanation for why.
We should meet up sometime.
I have a small garage at my house if you ever need the tools or space.
Be in touch.

Asking if you should replace that timing belt is like asking if you should re-use a condom that may have in hole in it with a hooker.

I just bought some "16 phone dials/pirelli tires from this guy off ebay(originally on the 944 turbo in the ad), wheels are like new. Subsequently, weve spoken a few times he is a really nice guy, very well spoken. I think he's just trying to have some fun with the ebay ad. From the sound of our conversation, he's not super desperate to sell his 944 turbo, but after purchasing a Lingenfelter ZR-1 Corvette has no use for 2 hotrods. I think you guys are about right on the reserve - prob. around 15k. Judging from the shape of the wheels I bought from him and condition of his garage I'd say worth every penny.
