Ok fellas..
i got a problem with a buddy of mines car. its a 1956 Chevy 210 Wagon (bel air) and here the story goes. FIRST: his speedometer was broken so we disconnected the old one, and put a new one in. STILL didnt work. the gauges for temp and gas also dont work.. by the time we got done, we tried to start the car and it wouldnt turn over. we have power at the coil and the interior lights go on, but the car wont make ANY attempt to turn over. it has been redone with a V8 motor. PLEASE help me with any tips on how to fix the speedometer. BUT, more importantly, how to get her to start. im gettin the feeling that the speedometer has nothing to do with it not starting and it might be a coincedence. thanks, SHAUN |

The wire bundle that goes to the starter and solenoid passes between the right exhaust manifold and the engine block. It is prone to shorting out, burn-thru or becoming charded. Thoroughly check those three wires.
