started at $29,000 in 1982.
by 1989 the price for a baseline standard equipment model had jumped to $36000 http://eurospecporsche944.homestead.com/files/sig.jpg ------------------ Porsche. Es gibt keinen Ersatz. |
Your obviously are not talking about US prices.
The 944 was introduced in the US as a 1983 model, its base price was around $18,900. [This message has been edited by Jim T (edited 07-08-2001).] |
I drove off in a brand new Alpine White '86 944 on New Years Eve 1985 for $33,000.00 including tax, title & license ( in Ohio ). Woulda been a lot more if I bought it in California. I still haven't seen anywhere else where registration costs so much EVERY year.

When I bought my 1984 944na from the original owner the title claimed he paid $28,000-ish for it.

According to the window sticker the list price of my '89 S2 was $42,000. But, according to the sales documents it sold in December of '89, still brand new, for $36,800.
Don't you love previous owners with awesome records? ------------------ 89 944 S2 77 911 (R.I.P.) |
