engine vibration =$
 

Unknown engine vibration on my s2 caused the oil pick-up tube in the oil pan to break,causing the lifters to go bad. Engine vibrates with clutch in or out.Relaced motor mounts, rollers,clutch system,& aligned belts with rollers.any idea's? PLEASE HELP this has cost me too much $$$$. THANKS

does it vibrate all the time?

OR does it happen during:

IDLE
COLD START
HOT START
CERTAIN RPMS
CERTAIN GEARS.

Shaun, it vibrates at all times but is mostly noticed @ 3200rpm's it is felt on the engine itself, gear shifter & clutch pedal.

I think Drew1 might have the right idea. If one, or both of the balance shafts are put on out of phase (VERY easy to do) it will vibrate worse than if it had no balance shafts at all.

I vote for balance shaft problem. It makes quite a vibration at double engine rpm if timing is off.

my 951 had the same vibration and we found that some dumb ass had the balance shaft 180 degrees off. Smooth as silk now.
