wait a minute... i just looked in the haynes manual at the ac compressor and it looks different than the one on my car. the one in the book on the bottom has only one mounting hole for the adjusting strut. the one on my car has a place on the bottom at the back that looks like it could also be bolted to something. anyone know if this is the right compressor? could this be why i keep snapping things?

never mind... it looks the same im just special.....

Check the mounting bolts on top of the compressor. You will need to pull the air box and alternator off to see them. The rear one was broke off on mine and the compressor vibrated and kept breaking the strut.

ehh
ehh to me its easier to go from the bottom. ive been under there a few times playing with this. i finally priced the bolts and strut. the bolts i put in ther last time werent strong enough and snapped. this time im just going to buy a new strut and bolts from the dealer. not too bad but i have to wait till i get paid to get a new strut and the bolts. once i get those im ganna replace them and the ps belt and the drive belt.
