I was at The Nurburgring last weekend and I met this guy with a 924 Carrera GT, modified into a GTS. It had a polycarbonate rear hatch. The owner couldn't remember the company's name.
Anyone has a lead on where to secure such an item? I would love it on my Cup car... TIA, GeorgeK [This message has been edited by GeorgeK (edited 07-11-2001).] |

Hi Shaun,
I don't have any pics on this computer (I'm at work here) I will post some later this weekend when I go home. Still open for leads to a rear hatch window. Roland? GeorgeK |

Be aware that the Sun UV is going to kill that Lexan if you are not carefull. Scratches on the rear hatch Lexan are not as important a problem as the front windshield. but watch out for that also.
Keep it out of the Sun or covered when not in use. Some guys down south have not got much over a year or two out of them before they figured out the problems. [This message has been edited by IceShark (edited 07-11-2001).] |

Thanks for the info so far. More is always welcome.
The car is only sparsely used , and only will be for track time in the future (that's why I bought it in the first place). The rest of the time, it is stored inside and covered. I also want to put a vertical lip to the rubber spoiler in addition to a front splitter to get some grip. As it is, the car terribly lacks tires and adherence, as I have discovered at the track. It has a thinner rear glass already and I don't want to mess with it, so I figured I will put it aside and make a lightweight modified rear hatch/wing. regards, George [This message has been edited by GeorgeK (edited 07-11-2001).] |
