Is it the same as an 81 924? If so, I have one already removed.

I have one from a early 944. I hear some folks have luck just taking theirs apart, cleaning and lubing everything. Including the linkage.

You can use one from a later car with a bit of DIY nodifications. You will get a faster high speed too!

Possibly. I haven't compared them side by side but most of the late 924 cabin and periferal accessories are the same as the early 944.

The 86 was an engine fire automatic. I bought it for the engine. Lucked out with a lot of other useables.
