Question Power steering

Currently my power steering pump is leaking BAD (87 944S). See any heartburn if I replace the pump with a 944 unit. The 944 unit does not have a pressure switch , but if I'm not mistaken Porsche put out a bulletin to disconnect the wires on the 944S pumps do to there was no short protection and the wires where burning up.

Should work. No real difference in the racks.

I just replaced mine recently; I got a rebuilt ZF (OEM) pump from Advance Auto for $145 plus a $50 core charge, (Pelican's $350 core charge was more than my credit card could handle at the time) and it had the port for the pressure switch which I just plugged. But if it's just leaking, I might consider getting a seal kit for it. I think I saw one online somewhere for about $20.

that sounds like a good price. as Hugh said, it should fit as there is no real difference in the rack. keep us informed. it'll make good reference for later
