clutch shelf life.
I know that I am going to have to do some clutch work on my 84. Sometimes when the clutch is out at stop lights, I'm getting a rattling sound. I don't like to do things half way, so I'm going to replace everything while I'm in there.
I have a 87 S motor that is blown. The clutch pack has very few miles on it, but it has been sitting for about 3 yrs. The motor was inside the whole time. (no corrosion). Does anyone have any knowledge on the shelf life of non-use clutch. The main reason I was going to use it, is it is a spring clutch instead of the rubber center, and everything has less than 1000 miles on it, and it beats paying 500.00 for a pack.

Why don't you put the turbo in the S chassis?
The clutch parts should be good as long as there is no rust.
