Wink Increase oil pressure?

All you gotta do to increase oil pressure a bit is to pull your relief valve from the oil pump and place a washer and or stretch the spring a bit...and its as simple as that..aircraft mechanics do it all the time...ps if your not a decent mechanic dont do this....only a washer or two and make sure you dont stretch the spring too much(a little goes a long way)....My car now pins out a bit past 5 on startup...also make sure your seals are good... Also what kind of oil do you guys use?

i use mobile 1 with BGRF7. when i made the switch to synthetic i heard the difference, it sounded and drove slighly smoother and quieter. it does seem to start oil leaks however. i started seeping here and there, the rf7 helps with that. we put it in my brothers vette and it started seeping out in a day or two-that s*** is slick! he switched back to conventional oil and the leaks stopped. he uses castrol now.

spring is on the underside of the oil pump..which is under the oil filter. Its the oil pressure relief valve....Increased oil pressure dumps more oil higher in the cam especially low and high rpms....

Hi Fty, I suggest you get some Valovoline in your engine , castrol seems to have viscosity breakdown at least in my cars it has .........Use Val, 20 W 50 Racing for the summer......Stan
