How can I check or replace my 944 S2 air filter? It looks located underneath the front nose panel. How can I access it? Remove the panel or go from underneath the car?
Please advice. Many thanks Eugene |

![]() lesse if I remember. 1. Try and find someone that has an S2 air filter available.... ![]() 2. on each end of the nose panel there is a bolt that goes into the fender. Pop the headlights up and remove the rubber strip that is exposed. the bolt will be just beyond that on the fender side. 3. Remove the plastic surrounding the headlight. Now look in towards the center of the nose. there is a small (10mm?) bolt in each side that needs to come out. 4. Remove the 4 bolts at the top of the nose panel. I _think_ that's it. If your hood crest is badly faded or missing... now is the time to install the new one. ------------------ Chris 90 944 S2 Cabriolet http://nbc.vet.upenn.edu/~ckrough/auto.php3 |

Eugene, click here for detailed instructions on how to replace the air filter on an S2. I cannot take credit for this, for it is not my site. However, I have replaced my air filter. So if you have any problems, post here and I'll help you.
