Post wheel refinishing

My Phone dial wheels are starting to show their age. One has a semi-large gash near the edge, and on all of them the paint is fading with some minor scratches. Should i buy some used ones in better condition? or get them repaired? Where is a good place to get them repaired in the southern california area?

Thanks

yes, black! that's the way to go. and black looks even better on other types like fuchs and even cookie cutters.

but black looks it's best imho on 5 and 6-spoke rims.

Sure, black may look a little different but if you want the factory look stick with the Wurthe OEM rim alunimum colour and the matching clear coat.

Not gona get into a pissing contest with anyone on this. We all know the board rules and guidelines. I'm just tired of the crap he constantly thrown down towards me and someday, after you express an opinion that does not fit into his twisted mind, he may come after you too.

it the way you come off about it.. you havent seen me being after anyone else on the board.. ONLY you.. that should be fact enough for you to take a look at how you speak..

you could have said "shaun, i would love to see your rims. can you post a pic." rather than, "SUURE, if you REALLy did paint em, lets see. liar liar."

my opinion still stands.. you are a fag.

Gluestick. Sorry this stuff has rolled over into your post. The difficulties between Shaun and I have been going on for a long time and it's not fair to you that your post be affected by it. The continued rantings only serve to further tarnish the 944 boards rep and lowers the quality of the baord experience for the other users.

Its alright. But i do want to know how hard it is to repaint them yourself? I have no experience with anything of the sort, but if i could do it myself i could probably save a ton of $$$ right?

Gluestick-
Go to griotsgarage.com and tell them exactly what you told us. They have a special kit that includes primer, Wurth OEM paint, and a sealant. They're well aware of Porsche phone dial wheels. I've heard great things about them.
