Quick starter question

I had to take off my starter because it was acting up, I took it apart and found many broken peices inside. I took the debrees out and put it back together. Now at the back end of the starter towards the rear of the car the thing that has the 4 magnets broke inhalf so i took it out so now it only has 2 magnets hooked up. It should still work right? Also on the starter solenoid the long pole goes to the 2 positives wires right? and the short one goes to the starter correct? Can anyone give me a picture or something?

Nevermind, i need them, the back piece was broken but it glued it together and tadaaa it works now. I still need a new starter though. I could easily rebuild it myself though. Any rebuild kits out there?

Garage
Just the brushes and bushings. Other wise a junk yard or dealer.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?
