Question Cheaper Motor Mounts 944

I would really appreciate any feedback from anyone that has purchased the non-factory motor mounts that Pelican sells. They go for about 56.00 versus 108.00 for the factory mounts. Sounds like a good deal if they hold up. Thanks

They don't hold up

Spend the extra cash and get the factory mounts.

I second that! I thought I was getting a good deal getting two motor mounts for the price of one factory one. Big mistake. My labor is free, but it is a huge pain in the a$$ to change them out after 5K miles. Don't do it! I am interested in knowing if anyone has tried the solid mounts that are now for sale? Do they make your Porsche shake like you have a broken balance shaft belt? Only ok for race cars?

I've been meaning to tackle my mounts again. I'm tired of getting the shakes. I'm loathe to buy the Porsche mega-bucks items if I can avoid it. What are the solid mounts like by way of long-life / vibration?

You are free to shop around for the OEM motor mounts (actually updates from the early cars)...
Note: I'm NOT stating that you shouldn't buy from Pelican; just suggesting you do more research...
