Info on the 350Z?
Does anyone know what the HP's are on the Nissan 350Z?
Also, has anyone noticed the similarity to this car and a 968 or am I clueless? Why did Nissan make this car anyway? To compete with Porsche and Audi?.. or to compete with Honda and Toyota? I'm not sure if I like this car or not... One of my Friends is buying one, I tried to talk him into leasing a Boxter or an M3, but he's a wimp and won't go the extra mile with the Greenbacks, even though he's a single guy living in a condo who just dumped his Greek Girlfriend because she gave him an Ultimatum, "Marry me or we're through!",, so, I guess he's through, hahahaha.... A guy on the 911 board sold his 911SC after buying a new Z. He just sold the Z and bought another SC. He couldn't stand the poor build quality.

Its a little overweight for my tastes, but a very sweet car nonetheless. It is faster than a base Boxster (although not as fun to drive), and has Japanese reliability. I love the styling also.

The last real Z was made in 1978. All the later models are ZX's (including new 350Z) from my point of view. The "X" stands for "extra", as in extra weight. Still, there is no better new sports car for under $30k.

The style is nice. The only thing that I don't like is the door handles and the back blinkers. ![]() Other than that, nice ![]() |

It looks like a hippo if you look at it from the front.
The mirrors are the ears, ect. I'm pretty sure it has more power than what was posted, because the 14.3 qt doesn't make sense w/ that much power and that weight. (our cars do 14.4 weighing a little bit less, with a lot less power) I want to test drive one of these some day. |

that's actually a clever observation. the mirrors do resemble the tiny ears of a hippo somewhat!
