Thumbs up Head innovations

Well...My headgasket blew a while ago and i have finally gotten around to pulling the head off. I was tryign to think of a way to clean the damn thing when i got an idea. My friends dad used to rebuild VW motors on the kitchen counter, so i threw the thing in the dishwasher. Yes, steam cleaner! Just thought i'd give it a laugh. I am thinking of using the trash compactor to press new guides in...

To top it off you can assemble everything on the kitchen table. If you don't finish in time, you can use it as a decoration for christmas dinner.
Pour gravy from the exhaust ports.

Actually, on the Triumph TR6 website, the dishwasher is often mentioned for cleaning parts, but you do have to turn of the heater used for the drying cycle, it can melt plastic.

Just make sure the plasic is dishwasher safe. i put my black 944 badge from the back of the car through the dishwasher with some detergent. I found that the detergent attacked the plastic and etched it.
