Oxygen Sensor Replacement

Hey guys (and gals),
I bought a replacement O2 sensor from AutoZone, (13913) and went to go splice and replace, but I can't find the darn thing. I tried searching, but was unable to find a post with the exact location of it. The car has 128000 miles on it, and I don't have a record of it being replaced. If someone could give me an exact location of where it is on the exhaust (I know its before the cat, but not sure where), that would be awesome. Remember, it is an 86 951.

Thanks in advance,

Justin

It's on the feed to the turbo - about 18" from the turbo.

is a bad o2 sensor quite obvious?

i plan on getting wilk's chip, after i have an abundance of money to spend, but could a new o2 sensor even if mine wasn't necesarilly "bad", could still help a little?

Somewhere on this list someone posted a method for testing the sensor. It required a voltmeter and a blowtorch. Try a search.

Thanks Lawrence, found it..

ds475, Wilk's chip ignores the O2 sensor, so replacing it when you buy the chip is just pissing away money.

but a new Lambda sensor would prolly be beneficial untill then.

that's what i'm saying. i won't be spending money frivolously for a while, so until then i could settle.
