I Found a site that makes ALL the keys !!!!!
I found this site
http://www.keys4classics.com/html/Por944.html They have many keys... Here is my question (s) to Y'All .... They show a " Valet " key for the 944 that looks different, maybe there is something on the cylinder that can activate the Valet Function on the DME ???? They also show a Master Key that looks different as well. Can anyone identify the Alarm key blank, so that I can order one. I had the alarm key for my former '85.5.
Sorry, it didn't look like any on that page. The "Accessory" keys look like fuel filler door and factory locking lug covers... |
LOL, I knew they wouldn't have the wheel-lock key. checked the site, and unfortunately I was right. the search continues

How do I find my Keynumber??

Valet key is for garage/valeting, it unlocks and starts car but will not access glove compartment.

I went to my local Locksmith(goofy guy in his late 20's early 30's) and he busted out the Key and made one from scratch with his big book O keycodes. I had him make 2 new ones one for my door and one for the ignition(they were different). All from no other key because the keys were horrible. All that for a measly 8.50 per key and 1.00 for each copy.
Belive it or not that was with the key as well. So If you need keys Go to the Podunk(I think thats how its spelled) Locksmith. Cody |

I think thats the reason my radio power from ignition key is flakey cuz there is so much play in the lock. Is there any way to find out the key code without having the original owners manual ?? I am trying to avoid replacing and rekeying all locks. I know I will have to do it for the alarm key. I already have drilled wheel locks. Oh, off point - I routinely see OEM wheel lock kits on E-Bay, for those with keylost wheellocks. I came across that site again...
but this time ended up on the 911 page. They list the Alarm & The wheel key.. Those that currently have ( or remember ) them please look to see if the blank looks like a match. Thanks again Don __________________ 1984/85 944na Gold exterior / Black interior Los Angeles / San Diego Lookin for ideas etc... http://www.carquip.com/parts/graphix/944.jpg |
Hey Don, you may be on to something - As I had mentioned, I sold my car a few months ago but the 911 Alarm key looks just like my 944 key -may be worth getting the key and taking the key cylinder in to your local locksmith and see if they can cut you one.
