yer supposed to have a disc for your brakes and a drum for your handbrake.
don't know what you are getting at. who told you? a mechanic? It's easy to tell a drum setup apart from discs, is he on crack? |

the 924 rear brakes have a drum INSIDE the discs. the drum part is for the parking brakes, and the discs are used under regular braking. they ARE used and they have a bit of power. the 924Ss had discs in the rear too that are pretty much identical to the ones on your (and my) car. these are not any sort of "conversion", they were stock from the factory. i'd suggest taking it to a different mechanic if this guy gives you odd questions like that. as for the handbrake, it could just need to be adjusted... or the brake shoes on the inside of the rotor are bad. good luck! obin |
