Cruise Control- Servo or computer
 

I just replaced my cruise/turn signal arm in my car, but my cruise does not work yet. Where do I look to find if it is a bad computer or servo? (early 85 944)

86 cruise goes straight to acc. when i push the rod. Does not stay at the desired speed just accelerates.....

It's common for the cruise control to stop working on these cars. I had two 944's, and early 85 na, and and 88 turbo, and the cruise didn't work right in either of them. The problem is most likely in the control brain, as I've heard that a lot of them are not soldered properly. You'd think German parts would be better quality...

Check to make sure you don't have a burnt out tail light. If you have one the cruise control won't work until you replace the bulb. They use the same fuse and a burnt out bulb breaks the curcuit and no cruise. Really!!!
