Track Car

Hey gang, I'm interested in purchasing a 944 for track duty and was curious what a mid 80s model would be worth if I parted it out. I've found one running car cosmetically rough and another I do not know the mechanical condition of. Anyway, both can be had for $2000 and I am wondering if I can recoup my investment on one by parting out the other...
Thanks a bunch!!!

Ok The PO had both why didn't he/she make the cash out of it?

But you are dependant upon others needs. If no one needs a part you are stuck with it till it does sell. Added space to keep the remains is another issue. You will not make it all in one sale. May take weeks!

Not to mention the hassle it is to play salvage yard man!

But yes it is possible to get your money out of it and even that depends on what is sellable. Sman

I would say yes...

Just don't kill one for no reason though....make sure it is ready to go (tear being shed).

Those little interior bits are quite expensive. You could probably still have enough car left after the recoupe to keep it for parts....assuming your track car is stripped down.

May take a while to sell stuff though.....in no hurry, good bargan.

Thanks for the help guys... I don't know enough details at this point. I do know the running car has a new clutch and oil cooler but is running hot and sounds like it could use paint. The other car, who knows. I don't mind it taking a while to part it out if necessary, but I don't want Two big paper weights in my garage for more than 6-8 months.
