dvd player in a 944
I know this friend who's pretty well off. Hes constantly buying and getting rid of older things for cheap. He just sold my buddy a dvd player and 30in tv for $20! He said he'd hook me up with a dvd/cd player and monitor for my 944 because he bought a better one. He wants $300. Im gonna check it out first, but, damn how sweet would that be?! I know its a pointless thing to have in a car, you need to concentrate on driving, not watching dvd's. My cash flow is low, but i wonder if this would be a good investment. PLus i dont even know if i could fit it in my 83', the console is tiny.

Would it be a good investment? No. Especially if your cash flow is low.
When was your belt done? Waterpump? Clutch? Tires? Brakes? Are the break lines original from '83? How is exhaust system? Electrics? Heck, i'd rather get new weatherstripping than throw a dvd player in the car. A nice lil system is one thing. Is great to have good music playing blowing down the highway. Although I kinda like listenin to the engine and exhaust harmonics too. Good investment? The car won't run any better because of it. Save it to buy some cross drilled brake lines.

I havent eaten breakfast in 5 yrs. I heard good things about their breakfast too though. Great nuggets and sandwhiches though. Orgasms of the mouth. Even good wraps to for the health conscious.

there u go - that's the ticket right there..
if it's not one of the knock-offs on ebay (innovatek or whatever they're called) you could easily sell it to someone who is looking to "pimp" their civic for more than $300.... hell, de-brand it and throw a TypeR sticker on it and i'm sure u could fetch a pretty penny ![]()

A dvd player would be cool if you had the money to waste. If you have an old 944, I think the mounting position would just suck. A 85.5 later model would probably work alright though due to the higher positioning of the unit.
As far as those cross drilled brake lines... how far does the fluid even move within the lines?! I always thought it barely moved to push the piston. If this is the case, as I suspect, having those cross drilled lines would be absolutely pointless. You would be better off getting an air duct system to cool down the brakes.
