For those of you who have been monitoring my fan problems, it seems to be in the wiring. The Haynes manual does not assist in determining how the fan circuit works and the location etc. of the wiring. In addition to other information, I am trying to determine if the passenger side fan (the one that goes on with the AC) is connected to the radiator fan relay or the AC relay.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to where I may be able to get a more specific diagram - Jeremy 1983 Porsche 944 |

It's very frustrating.
For one, the owner's manual for an '83 has a relay box diagram that does not match the actual relays in the car. Second, the pelican wiring diagram accurately depicts the cooling fan relay (which, incidently, controls both fans)and connections, but does not accurately show the AC relay connections (where it really gets confusing). |

the factory manuals have good diagrams that are fairly easy to read. far superior to the haynes.

Where can I find the proper relay diagram for a 1983 - this could be the source of my problems - Thanks -

Jeremy ... How many times do I have to tell you that your problem is not in the relays or thermoswitch, but is either the fan or the wiring ... did you test the voltage on the wire like I suggested?
