slight gear-related sound, like a clicking, when in neutral with foot off of the clutch and brake....when either is slightly applied it stops......any ideas?

The common link between the brake and clutch is the hydraulic reservoir and the mounting bracket under the dash.

The throw out bearing is about the only thing that would make a slight high pitched rhythmic sound with no pressure on the clutch.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

I still can't see any connection between the TO bearing and the brake pedal.

the noise does seem like it is coming from under the passenger side dash. i tried rolling at about 5mph in neutral without touching the pedals and i couldn't hear anything, only when wheels are stationary
