Post Noisy Thrush Bearing?

I've just found a tidy 944S for sale, seems all good but i've yet to see the car...

The person selling the car said it has a noisy thrush bearing - what does that mean and is it expensive??

thanks...

the owner was probably refering to the "throw-out" bearing. It's part of a clutch job that often gets overlooked. A clutch job has a VERY wide $$$ range. Doing it yourself if at all possible is the best way to go. If all else with the car is good, just this one bad item, get them to knock the price back at least 1K and take the car home.

Ask for service records... any record is better than none. Look for and ask questions about the timing belt and when it was last done. The timing belt is the big killer, clutches are just a nuisance... good hunting, after you view the car, share the details...
