Porsche 944 Engine For Sale
Im selling the engine out of the parts 944 I have. its from a 1985 944. Its a 2.5L 4cycl. engine looks ok and it did run. I am unable to run it now because all the fuses and relays are missing from the car. The engine has approx 195,000 miles on it. asking $1,200 for the engine + shipping and handling. If your in the near by area you can come and check it out. Engine is still in car so I will need time to remove it once someone is intrested. Any questions just PM me or E-mail me. Thanx

If you can run the starter, you should post some compression and leak-down numbers, if they are good, it will help you get more money for it.

$1200????
You can buy a broken tranny 944 with a running engine for $500....our local auto wrecking yard was throwing 944 engines away last year..... |
Hey Britwrench!
Good way to kill a post, but you speak the TRUTH!! |
U dont like it u dont buy it. Or you can try to get the price down
|
Plus its a full motor, injetors, throttle body, alt, p/s pump
|
Bought an entire 86 auto with custom rims for $500. Had an engine fire. Just burned off the plastic and hoses. Less than 130k on the engine.
Cost me $40 to get it home (shipping). |
Yep, that's typical. One of our guys got a running 1984 944 with a broken tranny for around $300. Real nice car, even the front spoiler wasn't trashed. Our local wrecking yard has a line up of broken timing belt 944s of various years for less than a $1000 each.
