Post Conquest TSI RACE LOL RESULTS

Was not even a race at 14psi boost. I completely killed him! I let him get ahead of me for head start, and caught up to him in like 2 seconds. It was hilarious. Man these cars amaze me everyday.

That's awesome man. I had no doubt in your 951 winning.

Now my friend with his Ford Probe GT wants a go at my 84 n/a. Both cars are stock except for we each have k&n filters, and he has his car stickered up. (How much HP does a Type R sticker give you?) He says that his car has 170HP to my 150HP, but he also has an automatic to my manual...

Anyway, should I take him? We a nice private road to use to keep things safe.

Thanks for the input.

It depends on the color of the stickers.. If they are yellow then they are made from the "race only" viynl...and you should be careful.. Rumor has it that these stickers will be imported in 2003 and that there will be a slight detuning to them for the U.S. Market... only 5hp each compared to 7hp

I think with a good launch you should have him no problem...The probe is front wheel drive I think... and with only 170 HP, he can floor it and probably not spin up at all.

The Probe Gt might get off the line a bit quicker than your 44, but if there is any amount of road ahead ( a 1/4 mile should be okay ) then I am confident you can take him. Don't forget, there are many early 944s that have taken 5.0 Mustangs in 3rd gear - mine included.

Yes, I agree. I have a stock 87 924S, and it is definitely faster than a Probe (don't ask me why I know)

As for 5.0 liter Mustangs... I agree our 3rd gear is stronger... at least mine is, compared to a stock 5.0 liter (4th gear too ... again don't ask me how I know

As for fast take-offs, I hate to do them for fear of wearing out the clutch and other related components. But dropping the clutch at 5,000 rpm makes for quite a fast take-off (I've done it twice)... although my rear end goes sideways for a split second before the tires bite.

Yeah i doubt that a 944 could beat a Type R... although I have beaten a GSR, though not by much.
