Wolf1, Ronin, FRWilk, ae1969, Socal, robm-951 & others....

I know all you guys have 951s....except for SoCal...but he knows pretty much everything.....anyway, I need your help.

I failed emissions and realized it's bcz of the Huntley Racing chips installed. I have the factory chips...but can't figure out which is the DME chip and which is the KLR.

Part numbers on them are 1267355235 and 1267355138. Does anyone know how I can tell them apart so I can reinstall and go back through emissions?

Hope you all can help or lead me in the right direction

"except for SoCal...but he knows pretty much everything"

The proper way to express this is; "I know two sentences about everything!"

Guess you can't call Huntly on this now. Kaput! So much for turbo charging NA's!

Need the imput of Doctor DME on this.

I have tracked down a Motronic DME that is the same Part Number as mine....it's at a local shop in Boulder.

So, I should be able to open up the other and find out from there....right??

You will want to make sure you are at stock fuel pressure and boost levels as well......

Will, use my cell number if you still have it. Otherwise I can call you on the weekend when I get back in town.

I still think you may want to lean the AFM out a notch just to make sure get through.

Also I would dial the boost down pretty far so those Envirotest idiots don't overboost it on the dyno.

Sounds good to me

How do I adjust the AFM? Looks to be an adjustment knob on the lower right corner when looking at it. Which way would I turn it and does it "click" or should I do a quarter turn or something.

Also, I haven't played with the boost controller. I assume by dialing the boost down I wold have to turn the knob inward to close it?

Thanks for the input Scott. I was going to do it this morning...but I mine as well wait til tomorrow if I can get these things done.

I'll ask here for a second opinion but you should move the dial clockwise like two clicks to tighten the pring and lean the mix out.

All you have to do is slide the black cover off the AFM to do it. However you will probably pass just fine with the stock chips in.

Well I'm gonna go for it.

If I don't pass, I will call you this weekend Scott and talk to you about the AFM adjustments etc.

Wish me Luck

Doubt it since the chips elimate the over boost protection.

With the chips the boost feels like it pulls harder...and at low boost I can definitely feel more power from the increased level of fuel....

Nothing huge...but you can feel it
