I am having a problem with my power windows on my 86' 944 NA. They always work even with the key off. I exchanged the relay thinking it was stuck on but that didn't work.
Any Ideas? [This message has been edited by SplitKane (edited 09-05-2001).] |

I bet you just don't know about the cool thing that these cars do, i learned about it on here just a short time ago. The windows will work after you take out the key until you open the door. Then a relay stops them from working until you use the key. Check it out....

There is the delay feature that allows you to roll up the windows after you shut the car off. Don't know how that exactly works but that would seem like a good starting point.

On my 87, as long as the driver's side door is opened, the windows roll up or down, whether the key is in/on or not....period. The manual confirms this.
