No he said at the rear wheels... At the fly wheel it would be around 165-170

127 figuring a 20% drivetrain loss(which is high for a 944) would be 152.4 flywheel hp.

Might want to hook up an a/f gauge and check the mixture. I would hope you would have at least 10 more hp at the wheels with those mods.

How do you find dynos in your area?
|
Just thought you guys might like to see whats up with a true dyno run. This was done a Tecnodyne in Tempe Az. at about 09:30. My guess is that the outside temp was 90 degrees F. This car only has 33,000 miles on it and is very fresh. I have only used mobil one and synthetics in the tranny. I am very happy with these figuers. The other 944 N/A was only putting out 117 H.P. My Torque was 132.4. I get a little chuckle when people tell me their getting 200 hp out of an N/A.

have you seen what the GRM 944 put out on the dyno?

wow, an '84 with only 33k? weekend driver, eh? out here in calif, it's a totally different story. 95k for an '84 would be considered low mileage. http://home.pacbell.net/nirky/turbo_120.jpg |
the last issue of G.r. motorsports reported the h.p. at 128.3 for the project 944. Thats damn good. I would put my 944 angainst any bodys with no internal mods. Yes 33,000 on an 84. The first owner was an airline pilot that bought the car for his girl friend. she didn't like shifting gears (I would have gotten rid of the girl)so he sold it with 17,000 mile to a pharmisist. She drove it and kept it garaged until it had 32,000. Then I bought it and have only put on a 1000. It sits in my shop or on a trailor until it gos to the track. It is one sweet car,and in perfect condition.
