HI Guy's just to let you know,
I was having a lot of heat in the gearbox and console area. Now I knew this was to do with the CAT losing the heatsheild. So (cutting a long story short) I decided to put some heatshield material around the console area. So what did I find when I lifted up the console. The Gearbox inner boot was ripped to buggery, so on replacing it my excess heat seems to have gone (at least the last 3 run's) Though I understand that for the cat to run effeciently it has to get up to operating temp. if I have no heatsheild on the cat will this loss of wrap cause any running or co problems ? also (there is still the long metal heat shield under the chassis) would no cat heat sheild case me problems with the gear linkage ? cheers Adrian |
