Try the phone book for a company called "Fastenal". I don't know if one is in your area, but they provide a wide arrange of fasteners for business and will deal with "little people", at least that's my experience here. Maybe you can find them on the web.

the bolts i have in right now are just high tensile metric bolts from the hardware store. and unfortunately they don't "fit" right.

I have had good luck at the local marine store. The carry a much larger selection of fastners especially metric ones.

What bolt are you trying to get? Most of the Porsche bolts were yellow zinc or cadmium plated and should not rust too badly.

the rear shocks bolts were not the yellow zinc. which is better, cadmium or zinc? i'm gonna get a bolt that won't leave me (or future owner) in a bind as queer as i'm in. (meaning my other post about my shock bolts giving me hell)

Suprisingly enough, genuine Porsche bolts from your friendly Official dealer aren't that expensive. Take the part number and make a friend of the parts saleman. They can overnight the parts if the dealership is out of stock.

Got rid of those "cheese-heads" on my C/V joints replaced them with normal grade 8 socket heads.

Asking if you should replace that timing belt is like asking if you should re-use a condom that may have in hole in it with a hooker.
