Post Relay clicking sound from DME area

Recently, and only occasionally, I have been hearing some clicking noises from the DME area. Sounds like an erratic relay. Sometimes it clicks on/off once, other times 4-5 times in succession.

Sometimes it happens under acceleration, with no noticeable effect to car performance, other times sitting at idle.

Any ideas?

is your ac on? mine clicks on and off all the time, im prtty sure its to lessen the load on the motor at idle and heavy acceleration.

No, its not AC related. When the AC is on, I hear that relay clicking on the driver side, not over by the DME

I have the same condition....started about 3 weeks ago. Only seems to do it in the morning though.

Would an intermittent clicking of a relay indicate pending failure? If so I need to pick up a spare DME relay....
