I don't know about a new pump, but I pulled a used one out of a wreck for $35 and installed it myself. It's easier to change out than the alternator. Right on the bottom and only held in with two bolts and the hose connections. You should try it yourself.

i just got a new performance products catalog today, the one for your car is $239.95 (i think u would get 20% off right now too).... so it sounds like an AWSOME deal to me. especially if it includes properly flushing the system with solvent and replacing the reservoir cause it can't cleaned properly... don't want the new pump to choke on some old junk...

Hey bro the pwr steering system is easy to clean it just takes a lil time and some effort, to clean remove the pump and turn the wheels side to side to help drain out the old stuff (with the car jacked up of course on jack stands).
Remove the resivour, get some engine gunk and spray it into the resivour and then rinse it out, refit the old resivour use new clamps on the hoses any leaking hoses should be replaced at this time, refit the new pump fill it with Dextron 3, start and let the engine idle while you turn the whell back N forth about 10 times to fill the rack and expell any air.
The resivour fluid wil look like purple beer this is OK as the fluid is full of air. shut it off and wait for a few mins.
Examine the fluid for color if it looks like there may be some mettalics in it then remove the bottom hose from the pump and let drain, turn the wheels side to side to help it flush from the rack, refit the hose refill the resivour and them start the engine and do the bleeding proceedure,
Note that as the wheel reaches its full left or right stop to not hold it there as the system will be pumping full pressure against the seals of the rack and this is one of the reasons that the rack starts to leak, by holding the wheel in a constant against the stop, this is most evident in tight turning situations, all that is required is to back off the wheel about 1 to 2 inches while turning so as not to hold the wheel against the stop.
I would also get the magazine Excellence at Barns N Noble they have many places that have parts for deals , I would check out Vertex for a new pump..............Stan
