Post Woo Hoo! I'm in Excellence Magazine

well, no, it's not an article about my car, but I'm in the "Reader's Sales Reports" section. Bruce Anderson says of my car: "...Even though the mileage is a little on the high side, we feel that this was an excellent buy at $8000."

Thanks Bruce!

Since I've had the car for 3 months, I've had no problems, except for the dash lights that keep flickering off.

I love my S2! I think I'll clean them wheels now...

I'll be in Rhode Island at around the last week of october, or first week of november, will there be anything going on around that region? I'm also planning to visit CT, and NY (Lime Rock?), also I'll be attending a DE down here at CMP November 3-4.

I'm planning on sending Excellence a few articles, to see what they have to say, we shall see...

Are you going to be at any of these? I have an auto-x on Oct. 21st (in NC), and a track event at CMP (in South Carolina) on november 3-4th. Between the two I'm planning on a trip up north, I'm really looking to meet some of you guys who live up north, more than just a track event alone. As for the track events, the November 16th at CT sounds really good, if I can bring myself to make that trip again with such a short break...

I'll be at the NJ autox on Oct 20th, but you'll be in NC!
I may attend the Nov 18th autox at Tobay beach, but that's still in the air.

Also: outside chance for CVR DE Nov. 16-18th. Or Summit Point with Potomac on Nov 17-18. Depends on funds (or lack thereof).

It would be great to get a Pelican Parts Northeast gathering again!

I'll be at VIR Nov 9-11, I'll be at Pocono with CVR-PCA Oct 29-30, I'll be at the Zone 1 Tobay Beach autoX. The CVR Runoff at LRP is only open to CVR autoXers who have completed at least half of this years events. LRP Nov 16-17th is still up in the air, it can get pretty damn cold up there that time of year, and if it snows no driving on the track.

Ahmet,

Have you ever been to CMP in Kershaw? I was there earlier this year for a race, crashed out coming onto the front straight perhaps the slowest corner on the track.HAHAH!! Its a pretty cool track, some elevation changes too.

Not to be picky but Lime Rock is in CT not NY. Its in the NE corner by Cromwall (bad spelling). I raced there for many years before moving west.

No insult intended.

Z, it looks like we won't get to meet anytime soon, I'll be following the board for future meets up north (east coast), and be posting my travel/race plans. BTW, to clarify: I still don't have a driver's license, get it back Oct 19th. My trip is planned for RI, and NY. However a friend owns a fabrication shop in CT, and offered help with a roll cage/supercharger I'm thinking about, thus I'd like to stop by there. I'm also invited to Boston, but undecided about that (I go to school +work). I was just thinking I could meet some people, or get some track time while I'm in the area anyway...

Pilot, the NNJ PCA DE at VIR on Nov. 9-11th sounds good to me, I'll look into that further. I have a little over $1k to spend, and am torn between safety crap to do Time Trials/supercharger, or more DEs (that I need for a time trial license anyway)... I may be at VIR on Nov. 9-11th, if I don't feel like spending money though, I'll grab my camera and get some good tapes... Was the CVR-PCA Oct 29-30th what we talked about (Pocono) over IM? I don't think I'll do a track event when I'm going to visit, now will I do a drive up north just for an auto-x... (Meaning if I'm in the area I could drop in for the auto-x, but I won't make the drive FOR the auto-x, I'll drive up for a possible track event though, and turn that into a 'visit' to friends up north).

Sergio, if everything goes to plan, my November 2-3 (or was it 3-4) trip to CMP will be my first. What happened, were you/car OK after the incident?

Tom_C, I tried to be a bit more clear in this post.

?? I originally mentioned that Lime Rock IS in CT. I also searched this whole thread, and there's no mention of Lime Rock being in NY. Confused, I am. Perhaps the confusion is that I also mentioned that the New York Metro chapter of the PCA will be doing a DE at Lime Rock?!?

Anyway, Ahmet: yep, I know you won't have your license until end of Oct. Bet you can't wait to be driving! Oh, there's an outside chance I'll go to VIR, but it's unlikely...
Now that winter is coming, now is a good time to start planning a MASSIVE spring East Coast Porsche meet...

Later,
-Z.
