I know this isn't South LA area, but I really liked the people and the work at Scientific in Pasadena. Look 'em up, call 'em, I bet they could recommend someone closer.

Dutch Foriegn Car Repair. La Puente / Industry
Father and son operation. No BULL here. They tell how it is before they begin. The are very reasonable and quality is their strong point. When I took them my 914 for the first time for a "gas smell" (leak in tunnel) he called me back with a list of possible repairs and prices. Things that I didn't know I had to fix/repair were brought to my attention and without asking him to look over my car and with out charging me either. that is what I call quality and service at a great price, something very hard to come by these days.

Thanks, I expected that I would have to do some driving to find a good mechanic. fortunately the 944 is my second car so I drop it off to be worked on. I am not a rich man so it is more important to find someone who will do good work at a resonable prices.
