RPMs not dropping! help!
Today, i finally fixed the apparent problem of my engine's clicking....the exhaust manifold gaskets. Unfortunately, it didnt fix the clicking...who knows, maybe the headers arent lining up correctly.
However, this isnt my main problem. After replacing the gaskets, my engines rpms drop verrrry slowly. I know that neither the pedal nor the throttle is sticking. For example, even on slow shifts, the clutch has to slow the engine down. Also, when coming to a stop, it takes like 5 seconds for the rpms to drop to idle once the clutch is released at about 2,000. The engine idle speed seems a bit high too: 1,000. What could this be...i only changed the gaskets afterall! |
Maybe there is a vacumm line loose somewher or your exhaust is plugged. Goodluck
