Post What is an 89 944s2 with 127k miles and salvage title worth?

It has recent clutch and timing belt but the ac either needs freon, a conversion or a new condensor. It also has chipped paint on back bumber and small dent that isnt really noticable by drivers side guards. Please advise me what this car should be worth.

Why does it have a salvage title? I'd say 5 or 6 grand.

i don't know where you're located, but here in bay area, ca there is one listed in the local paper today. los angeles has by far the most from which to choose.

You should offer him around $3-4k depends on how it runs. It's not about how much it worth but how much you want to pay.
If you really want a S2, I know one in Calif asking about $6k. Let me know.

I would find out why it has a salvage title, here in NC the car has been totaled by the insurance co. also salvage title cars sell for lower because most buyers are weary of the car and therefor it is harder to sell.

I think it's the same one. Gold color?
The guy said he got from an auction. It was a theft car. I offered him $5k. But it sounds he is pretty firm on $6k. I guess it cost him $3-4k. The car looks ok from picture. However salvage title is salvage title. It affects resell value alot.

Stay away from "Salvage Title" vehicles!!!

For cars in LA or any other sunny southern California locations try "www.recycler.com"
Salvage vehicles are like a box of Cracker Jacks; you get a prize in each one but you don't know what you are going to get!
