Ok Ok So Here"s My Story!

I've spen the last year trying to get my 86 to a point where I can say "I'm done! everything is perfect" (Like that will ever happen!!!!! ) I even went so far as to have the trees that boarder my driveway cut down so that the darned sap wouldn't drip on it when it was parked there!
All was right with the world!
Then along came a Long Island wind storm, and the next thing I know, I'm pulling my son's portable basketball hoop off of a crushed fender, and dented hood!!!!! (I used to love basketball)

I'm beginning to believe that I've insulted the Porsche Fods somehow!!!!!!

Anyway I just had to get this off my chest!

Why did the portable unit fall over? Usually wind is not enough to knock one over. Was the base properly filled with water or sand (preferred)? Was the unit anchored with the ground stake?

Just curious.............

Oh for fods sake!!!!!!! OK I screwed up! Next time I'm gonna keep my fuard up so I won;t have to put up with this fod awful abuse.
The portable hoop base was filled with sand! we had wind gusts over 75 miles an hour!
As far as being afraid???? I'm taking action! Any idea how many cloves of garlic fit in a 944 glove box?

Portable basketball units not fall over in the wind? Depends on where you live. Here in So. AZ, during the "Monsoon" season, (summer rain and sand storms) we had one of these units in a neighbor's yard wind up in the middle of the street, and yes, it was filled with what we have plenty of out here; Sand!!

I work for a company that manufactures portable basketball units. That is why I asked, since it is a subject I know a thing or two about.

Upon investigation, I've figured out that a fod is the 2 1/2 inch hex head bolt used in connecting the stantion support device to the neo tube used is the manufacture of portable basketball hoops. At least I think thats what it is.......
