What do you guys think about this....

Think it will make a difference? I know they work on v8's, but do you think it would slow the alternator down to much to charge good?

Only thing different is the material and weight. Diameters are the same as stock so I can't see how it would effect the Alt. Pulleys still travel-rotate the same so it isn't like you put a lower gear in. Less weight will let it spin easier but it can only spin as fast as the rpm's go. Sman

Unless you're racing at extended 7000+ RPMs I wouldn't bother with this.

The alt pulley is smaller if you look at the comparison pic. Looks like the crank pulley may be slightly smaller as well. They don't have an old power steering pulley on the ad to compare to their new one though.

7hp. A guy into racing who spent considerable time and money on dynosessions trying to come up with 2 or 3 hp found 7 by running synthetic vs conventional motor oil. He also got 9 running a test pipe instead of a cat. That's expensive for 7hp in my mind. Where are the 7hp, peak, 2300 rpm? The horses probably cannot be felt, but are probably real, and probably there is an increase throughout the rpm range. If you are doing everything you can to improve performance, this will help, and aftermarket bolt-ons that add hp are hard to come by. But maybe the $ would be better spent toward a nice set of Fuchs, or some turbo brakes, maybe new wires clean injectors and new filters, or even retensioning your belts.

Taz: very good point. Too often people spend $$ on go-fast goodies only to be disappointed, and must spend more and more for more power. Thus, the slide down the slippery slope begins!
