I would like a sporty car to drive to work while I restore my 911. What should I look for, and what should I avoid, when shopping for a 944? The car will be driven daily and needs to be reliable. Is this possible with a 15 yo car?
Thanks, Rich |

I know that you are looking for a 944, but an 86-88 924S is slightly faster and usually cheaper than the equivalent 8v 944.
If there's a good 924S in your area, I suggest that you take it for a test drive. -MAS 1987 924S |

Get an '83 944 ;-) w/ good miles, the pre 85.5 cars sell for much cheaper and are just as good in my opinion.

Bruce Anderson's rule still applies. Find the nicest, latest example you can afford. The 944 breed only improved with time.
this means '87+ 944, IMHO ------------------ Mike Buck My Gallery '88 944 turbo '89 944 NA [This message has been edited by MBuck951 (edited 10-06-2001).] |
