DME relay
 
where is the DME relay located and how would i identify it? thanks for your help in advance.

it's relay G-5 in my 85.5, in the fuse/relay box under the hood in front of the drivers seat

It has a digram in the underside of the lid of all the relays and fuses. If your DME relay is out you car won't start at all!!! Mine wnet out and at first I thought the fuel pump was out.

These relays are very much a maintenance issue. We always replace any that are more than 5 - 6 years old. The new Part number is 993 615 227 00. Same one as 964 and 993.

the PO of my car wrote the date on top of the relay. When I replaced mine, I wrote the date again.
