anyone using a Canton/Mecca filter?
 
Hi,

I have an '84 Scirocco that I have a Canton/Mecca oil filter on. I think I am going to end up donating the car as insurance is costing me almost as much a year as the car is worth.

Now I just bought an '88 944... could I get lucky enough that the C/M filter would work on it? Has anyone used one with success? Are there any issues with doing so? (anti-dranback valve integrated with filter, etc.)

Yep, 944's have a check valve. The threads and outer size will probably be different as well.

Hey, I always liked Siroccos. I would like to rebuild one someday..what kind of shape is your's in?
