paint question

Can someone recommend a good paint cleaner that is both effective and gentle? Paint on the car is recent, and a good job, but there is a bit of road tar spatter below the door on the driver's side I would like to remove, and I'm afraid of damaging the finish. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Never had this problem before (my Integra GSR was black and black can hide a multitude of sins )

3m adhesive remover, or a good quality bog and tar remover should be fine for paint.

The above suggestions are excellent, also non-abrasive hand cleaner cream works well also.
